CHALLENGE

Develop a low cost modern ride on for Amazon that captures the Radio Flyer brand and builds on an existing product called “Scoot about”. I was given the constraints to make sure the ride on was cost efficient, ergonomic, child safe, easy to assemble, fun to ride and sortable for Amazon.

INSIGHT

Sort-ability was the key factor, which means the product needed to break down in a box that’s 18” x 11” x 8”. I was responsible for research, sketching, CAD, and prototyping.

SOLUTION

Scooting around has never been easier or more fun with Radio Flyer’s Scoot About Sport! The working steering helps your child develop gross motor skills and learn how to steer. The ergonomic design offers a clear kick-path for a smooth ride. Easy glide wheels are safe for indoor or outdoor use. Favorite toys can join every adventure in the under seat storage.

Scoot about Sport launched with success and has been in the product line up for over 7 years.
